SMART VILLAGES HEADFORD

The MEP Maria Walsh has officially launched Smart Villages Headford.

Galway Rural Development, GRETB and the Department of Social Protection are joining forces to put together a series of FREE information events called “Make the Link” that will showcase education and training courses available in your local area

GRD has secured approvals of almost €80,000 funding under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) for Mountbellew, the Hymany Way (Portumna to Ballygar) and the Shannon Riverside Walkway near Eyrecourt. The investment will be key to enhancing outdoor amenities such as walkways, cycleways, rivers and lakes across the county.
